This time of the year is so busy, but I wanted to let you know of a few upcoming events or news items.
- Christmas Hampers: Students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items for Christmas hampers. The class with the most items will win a pizza party... sounds tempting!
- Christmas Books and Hot Chocolate: Every year the grade three class hosts a special morning event. This coming Monday and Tuesday our class will open its doors at 8:05 to serve hot chocolate and share Christmas books. All parents and students welcomed to attend. The only requirement is that they bring their favourite Christmas book to read with a friend and a mug. MUGS WILL NOT BE SUPPLIED.
- Student Writer Conference: For the past three weeks students have been working hard on retelling the Nativity story through the eyes of another character. On Wednesday December 15th each student will read their story to the class. Parents, Grandparents, and siblings are welcome to join us. I will post student sharing times, so that parents don't miss their child's reading.
- Elementary Family Skate: Our annual Family Skate will take place December 17th at White Rock Centennial Arena from 9:30-11:30. Parents and siblings are welcome to join us for a two hour skate. Today, Friday December 10th, your child brought home the required forms for participation and information regarding the skate. Please return all RED forms signed by Monday, December 13th.
Have a wonderful weekend!
